The Mission of Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center is to assure access to quality health and wellness care for the residents and workforce of the greater Williamsburg community. Greater Williamsburg means YOU!
Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center is a non-profit health center that began in 1993 as a grassroots effort to alleviate the overwhelmed emergency department of the local hospital. It provided another way of offering non-emergency health services to a population that was underinsured or completely uninsured in a community whose workforce largely consisted of seasonal and hourly workers. It did then and it still serves that mission 29 years later.
Through a partnership between the hospital and the local jurisdictions of James City County, the City of Williamsburg, and York County, that effort continued to grow into a fully functioning healthcare center. Over the last 29 years, Olde Towne’s services have increased to include a medical practice, dental practice, a vision clinic, diagnostic lab, and Medication Access Program (MAP) for adult and pediatric patients that are underserved in the healthcare system due to financial limitations.
As our community's needs persist, Olde Towne has positioned itself to be prudent in meeting those needs while continuing to provide the most excellent health care for its patients. Our strategic plan focuses on expanding the mental health services we already offer with integrated care, increasing dental services, and collaborating health records with other local health providers.
