State of the Chamber

Required by the Virginia Peninsula Chamber's by-laws, this event lays out the State of the Chamber - Annual Meeting, recognizes the achievements of the Chamber, its volunteer leadership and the Peninsula business community. New board members and officers are nominated and elected and retiring board members are acknowledged for their service. This is typically the final major event of the Chamber's program year.

State of the City - Hampton

The Virginia Peninsula Chamber presents a forum for local Mayors to report on the State of their city. The speeches themselves are as unique as the individuals that give them. The common thread, however, is that each one shares a message from the city to the Chamber members. The State of the City - Hampton event will provide a venue to celebrate with city stakeholders, citizens and business alike, the accomplishments that have been achieved and those planned for years to come.

State of the City - Newport News

State of the Federal Labs

The State of the Federal Labs focuses on NASA Langley Research Center and the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility’s current state of federal research in the area of science, technology, and innovation. This event offers an invaluable platform for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members to connect with lab leaders, explore potential partnerships, and understand the labs' economic and scientific impact. 

State of the Military

The Virginia Peninsula Chamber hosted the first ever State of the Military event in May of 2024. This event highlighted the very significant positive impact of our local military installations and community on the Peninsula's economic, cultural, and general community well-being.

State of the Region

The State of the Region is an annual fall event at which economists from the Old Dominion Dragas Center for Economic Analysis and Policy present on specific aspects and trends that impact our region's economic growth.
