The Virginia Peninsula Chamber hosted the 2024 Newport News State of the City on Tuesday, March 5th at the CNU Freeman Center. The State of the City is a (mostly) annual event at which the Chamber provides a forum for the Mayor of Newport News to address Chamber members and others on the state of Newport News. This year was Mayor Phillip Jones' inaugural address and he shared much exciting news about the present and future of this great city with a crowd of nearly 600.
